Course Outline

A ground-breaking opportunity

Would you like to be one of the first Early Childhood Educators in Alberta to participate in a professional development pilot that aims to teach ECEs new skills resulting in a NeuroInclusive preschool learning environment… benefitting you, your 3-6-year-olds and their families?

  • WHY...AND WHAT does NeuroInclusive mean? Did you know that current strategies are not designed to reach all students? You may have noticed some of your very bright, creative children do not always respond to current practices? There are typical and non typical learners, and this is a much-needed chance to reach all learners.

  • STRATEGIES: We often say focus, concentrate, pay attention, but we never show them how. Would you like them to learn how to relax, focus and manage their own energy levels? Can you imagine how much easier your life would be? You will be able to introduce hands-on letter recognition to your children whatever their learning style.

  • COLLABORATION: In collaboration with The Whole Dyslexic Society you will discover this innovative, inspiring, enlightening and essential information. This is the precursor to eliminating many so-called learning disabilities from ever arising.

Course Overview

The course will run from January to April 2026

  • Course Outline

We have provided a pre-recorded video presenting the course outline. We ask that you watch it before the registration deadline of December 18th. You can locate the video on this landing page.

  • 2 - 1hr Introductory Modules Online

Commencing February 7, 2026 these will be live and recorded. The first is a comprehensive introduction to learning styles and the cause of many learning challenges, plus child development as it relates to our strategies; the second, February 21, outlines the history and development of the workshop content.

  • One 2-Day Workshop In-Person

The 2-Day workshop will take place on March 5th & 6th, 2026. Edmonton location to be confirmed. You will learn self-regulation tools, and hands-on skills to pass on to all your students, no matter their learning style.

  • 6 Assignment Modules

While you share these tools and skills with your students, we’re here to support you through assignment modules that strengthen your progress as the children begin learning strategies for self-regulation and letter recognition.
